On November 4th, Coinbase Inc. has decided to withdraw the lawsuit against DynaPass Inc. DynaPass had claimed that this software company baselessly accused this cryptocurrency exchange platform of infringing on a patent related to dual-factor authentication. According to the notice of dismissal submitted to the United States District Court for the Central District of California on October 31st, the two parties reached an agreement, which includes a commitment clause: DynaPass will not sue Coinbase, its customers, suppliers, partners, or other members of the non-profit advocacy organization CryptoOpenPatentAlliance. In the lawsuit filed as early as September, Coinbase sought a declaratory judgment from the court to confirm that the company did not infringe on DynaPass's U.S. Patent No. 6,993,658 and questioned the validity of the patent.
